It was a historic night in The City of Brotherly Love, as Philadelphia played host to the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble Match. In a 30-Superstar battle, women from WWE’s past and present collided with a title opportunity at WrestleMania hanging in the balance. Earlier that morning, all 30 women showed up excited and eager to be photographed by Kareem Black for our Women’s History month gallery and social campaign. Their enthusiasm, respect for each other, and dedication to this shoot, their match and every moment surrounding this day was beyond impressive. The evolution of the women’s division has been one of the most exciting movements in WWE history.
For this campaign, we rolled out one photo a day for the month of March on Instagram and published a gallery on WWE.com on International Women’s Day. I also printed a selection of photos with Catchlight Digital for the 1st floor display I curate at WWE headquarters. See the full gallery HERE.
