The 20th anniversary of Kane’s debut falls in October so he was the inspiration for the annual Halloween photo shoot. One of the strongest visual elements of Kane’s character is fire. Flames charge from all corners of the ring when he’s in it. I wanted to do a theatrical version of fire that felt raw. I worked with set designer, Mark Dalpra and photographer, Andrew Boyle on pulling off this fire look. I found some great references from theater productions and put together a mood board. All of the vivid fire colors were done with gelled strobes. The only post production work is the flares and sparks. Wardrobe stylist, Sofia Karvela pulled together looks inspired by Kane’s black and red ring gear and she even had custom pieces made like the flame-covered body suit worn by Naomi.
We created two final sets; the fire set and a burned room. This way, we had a variety of textures and colors throughout the gallery. See the entire gallery HERE.
